coolspot 18
Don't get me wrong, I like the layout of the new "webapp" version of the software. However, I found a long time ago on the old app version that I got better results using "software decoding" rather than "hardware decoding" on my Moto X (2013). I found this to be true whether I used the internal player, or the external player (going to mxplayer) However, as "external player" is phased out as well as the choice to use "software decoding', I'm back to my original problem. After about 20mins playback, I start to get consistent studdering. This occurs on both external and internal network viewing. I've adjust bandwidth down to extremely low in the settings and the same thing seems to occur. This is pretty consistent across anything I've tried playing. Mostly mkv, but I believe other formats as well. I'll try and report back on that one. Is there the possibility of bringing back "software decoding" as an option? Or External player would be great as well as the software had that option. Thanks in advance. Edited July 14, 2015 by coolspot
Luke 37119
why do you think external player is phased out?
coolspot 18
LOL OMG. I swear I looked through the options and didn't see any options that were different than the web based server options. My mistake..I'll take a second look. Did that get added later?
Luke 37119
It's been there. Also we are working on a new internal player anyway.
