Remote control issues

I am running Emby server version 3.0.5641.4 and Android Mobile app version 2.3.53.

 

Remote controling the android app is kind of broken.

When I succeed to remote control the app, volume does not work.

When playing music, skipping to next track will abort the app.

 

All this was working on the previous version... Is there a way to rollback??

I am also having issues with Remote control on my Nexus 5. Sometimes when I pause, the video on my chromecast stops, but the icon doesnt change to the play icon, and pressing it doesnt resume. This is a little inconsistent though.

 

Consistently however, if I pause on the remote control, and the screen locks, when I unlock the screen the remote control is cleared. I can't resume playback. The only thing I can do is navigate to the media I'm trying to play and restart it.

Yea it doesn't change to the play icon until it gets a message back from the CC device indicating that it has paused. It can sometimes take a second or two.

 

For pausing and resuming after the lock screen, is this local playback, or controlling another device?

I have the same issue, but it doesn't happen every time. While using my android to remote control the chromecast, sometimes after the screen locks I go back in and the remote is gone and unable to get it back. I have to restart the video stream and then "jump" to about where I left off.
