thisguy2626 2
I'm having issues with the subtitles while playing on an LG Google TV. I attempted to turn them off. It didn't work, and now every time I get to the same point in the video where I turned them off the video freezes and doesn't recover. The exact spot each time. The sound plays on. It's only on the android tv app. The same video file plays fine on the windows theater and iOS app. And as long as I do not attempt to turn off the subtitles, other files play fine on the android TV app too. I haven't tried deleting the app data yet.
CBers 6795
I'd uninstall the app and reinstall it, or at the very least, clear the app data. It is the Android TV app and not the Android app ??
thisguy2626 2
Yes it's the TV app unlocked. I didn't want to clear the data or uninstall until I posted here in case someone wanted to trouble shoot something. I'm fairly certain that will clear up the issue. ebr 14959
I'm not so certain that will clear it up as it sounds like a transcoding issue.
Spaceboy 2505
Also seeing similar recently, the nexus player always plays subtitles and won't let me turn the off. It's even more annoying that they're the wrong subtitles! [emoji3]
