rms8 12
Just reloaded Win7 due to Emby becoming slow and when going into movie folder the thumbnails would always be repopulating. All was working great after the fresh install about a 1-2 weeks ago. Tried watching a movie the other night and it took 15 minutes and dozens of attempts at going into Emby to finally start a movie. Today I can't even access the movie folder. Start PC. WMC auto starts. I select Emby. Emby starts fine and goes to Subdued main screen. The first category is "Concerts" and the thumbnails show up there on the right side. But when I try to scroll to any other category, the thumbnails do not populate on the main screen and then Emby is unresponsive. This is followed by the "Program is Unresponsive" popup and I have to close the program (emby). So now I can't even get into the movie collection to watch a movie. LOG attached. rms8 12
This looks like where the issue is, but I don't know what the data is telling me.... When Emby opens, the 1st category/folder is "Concerts", and it instantly shows the thumbnails on the right side pane: 2015-06-07 09:52:05.0382,Info,,RAL child retrieval for Concerts option added took 0.05 seconds.,27,Worker thread for Common2015-06-07 09:52:05.0382,Debug,,added list for Concerts loaded with 20 items.,27,Worker thread for Common2015-06-07 09:52:05.0412,Info,,Sending Http Get to http://192.168.1.228:8096/mediabrowser/DisplayPreferences/fa5278c0-37d5-57ef-7cb2-c5e24dd25e7d?userId=d1f6895347a907acc5165177a34a09bf&client=MBC&format=Json,27,Worker thread for Common2015-06-07 09:52:05.5412,Info,,Information DisplayText: Welcome to Media Browser,1,Application2015-06-07 09:52:11.2265,Debug,,Loading display prefs for C:\Users\SERVER\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\root\default\MOVIES,1,Application2015-06-07 09:52:11.2265,Info,,Sending Http Get to http://192.168.1.228:8096/mediabrowser/DisplayPreferences/f4ee716d0bae886e6d2d2f0164019261?userId=d1f6895347a907acc5165177a34a09bf&client=MBC&format=Json,1,Application2015-06-07 09:52:11.2295,Info,,Sending Http Get to http://192.168.1.228:8096/mediabrowser/Users/d1f68953-47a9-07ac-c516-5177a34a09bf/Items?ParentId=f4ee716d0bae886e6d2d2f0164019261&sortBy=&CollapseBoxSetItems=False&fields=Overview,,Path,,ParentId,,DisplayPreferencesId,,DateCreated,,IndexOptions,,DateLastMediaAdded,,Metascore,,MediaStreams,,SortName,,Taglines,,MediaSources,,SpecialEpisodeNumbers&ImageTypes=&recursive=False&genres=&Ids=&studioIds=&ExcludeItemTypes=&IncludeItemTypes=&ExcludeLocationTypes=&personIds=&personTypes=&years=&format=Json,24,Worker thread for Common2015-06-07 09:52:12.4776,Info,,Sending Http Get to http://192.168.1.228:8096/mediabrowser/Users/d1f6895347a907acc5165177a34a09bf/Items?ParentId=f4ee716d0bae886e6d2d2f0164019261&limit=20&sortBy=DateCreated&sortOrder=Descending&fields=Overview,,IndexOptions,,SortName,,DisplayMediaType,,Path,,DisplayPreferencesId,,DateCreated,,Taglines,,Metascore,,MediaStreams,,ParentId,,DateLastMediaAdded,,MediaSources,,SpecialEpisodeNumbers&Filters=&ImageTypes=&recursive=True&genres=&Ids=&studioIds=&ExcludeItemTypes=series,,season,,musicalbum,,musicartist,,folder,,boxset&ExcludeLocationTypes=Virtual&personIds=&personTypes=&years=&format=Json,27,Worker thread for Common Then I scroll down to the next category/folder "Movies". Solution rms8 12 Posted June 7, 2015 Author Solution Share Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) Just tried an experiment.... I had just put a new movie into the Server movie folder last night. It was The Wedding Ringer. It is a bluray rip in the native folder structure. I deleted this movie/folder from the Movie folder on the Server and now Emby is behaving normally. Odd. I'll re-rip the bluray and see what happens. Something must have gotten corrupt in the folder when I transferred the rip to the server. I re-ripped the movie and transferred it again and now all is working normally. It would be interesting to know what the log file is complaining about, for future reference.
