markle88 14
Every video I play freezes at about 3 minutes in. Audio playback resumes but the video remains frozen. I can't get the video to move past that freeze point no matter what I do. Anyone know how to get the log for a fire tv stick?
ebr 14948
I doubt a device log will help. Sounds like a transcoding issue. Do they play back properly in another app that streams (like the web client)?
tman 47
I've seen this before too. Depends on what you're throwing at it. 720p w/AAC is just about ok, but works better in an MP4 @ 4.1 container rather than MKV (MP4 seems to be the preferred container format for FTV). If you try 1080P w/DTS or FLAC, prepare for problems. You need a really good wifi connection for the FTV Stick as well. You'll also need a good spec CPU in your Emby server for the HD transcoding, although I'll admit, the current stable release is much, much less heavy on the CPU. I guess the full FTV doesn't have these problems.
CBers 6780
Anyone know how to get the log for a fire tv stick?Don't think there are any user-obtainable logs any more for the app. I hate to suggest this, but have you tried installing Kodi and the Emby addon? . markle88 14
Ok now I can't play any videos. All I get is a "Video Playback error- Failed to Load Video" error. The app worked great until recently. Not sure if some update has screwed with things.I have other clients on android, windows 8.1, and emby classic all still functioning without any problems. Server specs should be ok since I have been using this setup for a while now. And I am not trying to stream 1080p. Below are my video specs. I'll also attach the server log. Luke 37178
This is a server issue of escaping the quote within the path when constructing the ffmpeg command line. it will be resolved for the next release.
