The Protege 0
In the old Media Browser, the movie titles with "The" in the beginning would automatically sort by alphabetical order using the second word of the title. For Example: The Social Network would be in with all of the 'S' movies. When I installed latest Emby it changed to putting the 'The' starting movies in with all of the 'T's. Anyone have a simple fix or answer for this? Much appreciated!
Happy2Play 8325
Do you have anything in the "Sort Name" field in metadata?
The Protege 0
Yes I do, all of my titles have sort title on them, but that was never an issue before.
Deathsquirrel 741
The purpose of the sort title is to override the default sorting. Either don't specify a sort title or remove the 'the' from it.

This is the correct answer. MB 2.x did not utilize this field properly. If there is something in that field, it will be used verbatim. This is to allow you to customize sorting however you wish - otherwise there is no point to the field at all.
