ebr 14925
Yeah, I would imagine there will be some sort of grace period but the next step for them will be to cut off the guide. That will be the true, official death of WMC.
AdrianW 1053
Yeah, I would imagine there will be some sort of grace period but the next step for them will be to cut off the guide. That will be the true, official death of WMC. In Australia WMC never had a guide supplied by Microsoft - all guide data was either over the air or supplied by a third party service like IceTV. Maybe a third party could take over that service elsewhere.
Teddy 51
AdrianW It is a relief to what you say. Then the Donate application Guidetool could do the job. http://1geek1tool.com/guidetool/ Edited May 7, 2015 by Teddy
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
Microsoft will probably keep their guide services going for a long time. It is rumored that DVR capabilities will be coming to the xBox One. The xBox One is their perceived replacement for Windows Media Center. Considering they want a 10 year lifespan out of their consoles, services will be around for while. http://www.theverge.com/2015/5/6/8559043/microsoft-xbox-one-tv-dvr-feature-rumor
