jbuyense 0
I'm trying to see if there's a way when playing a movie (DVD ISO file) that is anamorphic wide screen, to make screen adjustment to keep from looking "boxed". If the DVD is 16x9 it looks great.
ebr 14949
By anamorphic do you actually mean 2.35:1 aspect ratio? What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish? Pictures are worth a 1,000 words...
jbuyense 0
I'll see if I can post a picture later. Anyways the movie I played appeared to be full screen (square in the middle of widescreen TV, with black bars on the side.) I went check the DVD I ripped, it said it was anamorphic wide screen. There was no zoom or display options I could find on the app. Any advice?
ebr 14949
Some older DVDs had two versions of the film on them - one wide screen and one cropped to 4:3. It may be that the system is finding the cropped version when trying to play back the movie from the ISO. The bottom line here, though, is that streaming from an ISO format is always going to be hit-or-miss so I suggest ripping the actual movie into a video file container (mkv or mp4) if possible.
