hansolo77 11 Posted April 12, 2015 Share Posted April 12, 2015 I'd like to give Emby a try as a browser for all my music. I currently use WMC and it's "OK". I was wondering what all is involved with getting it setup. Is it as simple as pointing a Folder to the server and configuring it as a MUSIC path? Where does it store things like Metadata (cover art) and does/will it have things like Artist info/photos? If so, where does it save this information to? I currently have all music stored in a path like "\\music\artist - album\track# - title.mp3" will that work? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

How does it store things like cover art and genres, etc? I currently have everything embeded in the ID3 tags (coverart too). Will Emby extract and use that, or will it attempt to fetch and store it's own versions? Will there be a hidden /metadata folder for each album I have like for my videos?
