Please provide a debug log file from when the issue occurs. I know you say the log stops, but it still helps. Also, if you can manually reproduce this issue, what two tasks are you running?

I had a similar problem with play video in web browser after update Emby server to 3.0.5582.4 and Ubuntu to 14.04.2 LTS. I am fixed from information from this forum and Internet.

This problem was very hard for my weak knowledge about Emby server, but solved .

Kipitanrum's post made things seem simpler than they really were (on Mythbuntu 14.04.2, anyway).  There was some kind of dependency conflict that came up...

 

 mediabrowser depends on libmono-sharpzip2.84-cil (>= 1.0); however:
  Package libmono-sharpzip2.84-cil is not installed.
 mediabrowser depends on libmono-system-data2.0-cil (>= 3.0.6); however:
  Package libmono-system-data2.0-cil is not installed.
 

I ended up downloading the latest Emby, and installing using dpkg with an override on dependencies, as it seemed the newer Mono 4.0 this "fix" installs simply has newer libraries that cover the requirements in ways the Emby packager didn't anticipate.

 

dpkg --force-all -i mediabrowser_3.0.5607.2-0.bzr3778*.deb

 

However, after testing, streaming seems to be completely broken with this approach.

Could something in the build have gotten screwed up? If the new ImageMagickSharp DLL fixed the problem, I think we need to take a loom at the possibility of the build getting messed up.

Nope, nothing wrong with the build process. There is something wrong with Imagemagick in the meidabrowser ppa. It has the multiprocessing enable that caused issue with the qnap devices. I have compiled a new one and will copy into the ppa soon.
