Roku quits playing transcoded m4a after transcoding complete

I've been having a problem when trying to play m4a files. It always transcodes to 128 kbps mp3, and after that transcoding is completed, the file stops playing completely. This sometimes crashes the Roku app entirely and sends me back to the home screen.

I'm not sure why it's transcoding to mp3 in the first place, since I thought Roku supported AAC audio natively, and even if it didn't, I'm not sure why it's at such a low bitrate.

Here are the logs I copied from the Dashboard.
