Hi MediaBrowser Admins and Users,

I’m new here and have a query, please. I downloaded the “Emby Server for Windows Download Release (v3.0.5518.7).” When I tried to install it I received an “Open File – Security Warning” that stated:

“The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?

Publisher: Unknown

This file does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher. You should only run software from publishers you trust.”

The above warning had me concerned so I tried checking the setup file’s Certificate Information which stated:

“This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.”

I then checked where the setup file was from and found it was from:

http://mb3admin.com/downloads/release/server/setup.exe

I thought this was unusual since when I put the cursor over the Windows Icon on page:

http://mediabrowser.tv/download/#ServerFreeBSD

It showed:

http://mediabrowser.tv/download/#ServerWindows

but when I clicked on this link I was led to the aforementioned site of:

http://mb3admin.com/downloads/release/server/setup.exe

This made me wonder, does the domain “mb3admin.com” belong to MediaBrowser? Is this the correct source location for the “Emby Server for Windows Download Release (v3.0.5518.7)”?

Thank you in advance for your understanding, kind attention, and thoughtful and expeditious replies to my queries.

Sincerely,

“Newbie” Traveler4God

Mb3admin is owned by the MediaBrowser/Emby team and is the correct source location for Emby Server.

Hi DaBungalow,

Thank you for your reply; good to know about the server. I thought that might be the case but I wanted to be certain so your reply is much appreciated.

Have a great week!

Sincerely,
