blackmamba 3
What I want - english subtitles to always be displayed - automatically - without me having to stop the movie and select them. On my server all my movie have one srt file, named move-name.srt - they are the english subtitles. In the admin app I set under playback....Audio language preference: English Subtitle language preference:English Subtitle mode: Always play subtitles When I playback a movie no subtitles are displayed. When I open the "T" menu I get 3 choices: T none codec:'' Default:no Forced:no External:no T English codec:'srt' Default:no Forced:no External:no T Unknown codec:'srt' Default:no Forced:no External:yes T English has a big 'tick' mark over it. When I select T Unknown subtitles appear. So I assume the T Unknown is the actual english srt but it treats it as unknown because it hasn't go the ISO language cod in the filename So is there a way to get this to work without me having to go back and reload all the metadata and rename every srt file for every movie and every tv episode to have 'en' in its name? Luke 37119
We have talked about having the ability to designate all unknown language subtitles as a certain language in order to help with this situation, but we haven't gotten to it yet. So until then, yes, it will be a manual process for you.
