tanathos 2
Hi, I'm trying to access my remote MB server (from work to home). I can access it via browser directly with the public IP of my router and the 8096 port. But I'm not able to access using a DLNA renderer player... I've tried foobar2000 and MediaMonkey. As I can see sniffing the http traffic, the server is responding with a 404 to the request http://IP:8096/DeviceDescription.xml (that is the url built by foobar2000, for example). Anyway the DLNA is up for sure, if I try inside my home network I can see the MB server in the DLNA servers list of my players. Am I missing something? What is the correct url I've to use to access the server from remote via DLNA? Thanks!
Vidman 589
Dlna is only designed for use on the same LAN
Pais 115
Have you tried Media Browser Connect? That's how I access my server from work.
tanathos 2
I suspected that. So, there's no other way to access my home collection than the browser app? It would be awesome if I could use a dedicated player (like foobar or winamp). Do you guys know a way? Thanks for the replies!
