Cerothen 90
What's the difference between "App" and "Device" under Recent Activity on the Dashboard? 3/14/2015 8:41:26 pm Kevin has stopped playing Extraterrestrial App: XBMC, Device: OpenELECk 3/14/2015 8:39:53 pm greenroom has started playing Monsters: Dark Continent App: XBMC, Device: Master Thanks! App is the protocol/client used, and device is the actual name of the device that is indicated to Mediabrowser. When using XBMC you could expect to see either: App: DLNA, Device: Livingroom <- This means the connecting is to a device with the name Livingroom (either as its host-name or as the name that has been set under mediabrowser Devices). The method used to play the content is DLNA. App: XBMC, Device: Livingroom <- This means the connecting is to a device with the name Livingroom (either as its host-name or as the name that has been set under mediabrowser Devices). The method used to play the content is the XBMC/KODI plugin. App: Media Browser Theater, Device: Athens <- This means the connecting is to a device with the name Athens (either as its host-name or as the name that has been set under mediabrowser Devices). The client device used to play the content is 'MediaBrowser Theater".
