Deihmos 147
I really like the fact that MB3 has WOL built into some of the clients like MBC but I really wish the server did something to keep it from sleeping when playing remotely. I just installed Plex to test if it would do the same but it does not. Plex does something to block sleep when a video is being played. Any chance MB Server could do the same? As you can see in the screenshot Plex adds a process and also supports awaymode and blocks sleep.
inzombyac 69
I agree. I tried to configure this myself but ran into snags when streaming. If you are direct playing through a client such as MBC, this works out of the box if you prevent sleep when files are shared. When streaming, the only option is to monitor the ffmpeg.exe process. However, this process usually quits before the stream is done. There are some people working on throttling ffmpeg which should help, but unless it is running the entire time while streaming, this won't work 100%. Ren34 0
I use this app called Coffee. http://sourceforge.net/projects/coffee-sc/ It monitors network traffic and keeps the system awake based on what you put in for the activity threshold. Works perfectly for me. Edited March 10, 2015 by Ren34
