xnappo 1593
Yes.. But avoiding the annoying Kodi rescan is the whole point of having a server-based architecture. Edited February 25, 2015 by xnappo
Beardyname 195
I'm currently using Kodi on a pi (openelec) and MBS, Currently the best and also the easiest (imo) thing to do is just to bring your phone and use the excellent play-to from the web-ui (Since kodi is just idling on the home screen i don't really need fancy posters and what not)
cracksloth 25
It's certainly a good option. I use a similar method (on my tablet) but I've found my visitors have a better grasp on using a physical remote. I'm on board with using the web interface for everything except web based remote control functions have been (historically) limited and every once in awhile I get a visitor who naturally understands a physical remote control over the web based interface. If it were up to me, web based remote control functions would be spot on for every client and any touch device could be the remote.
steve1977 67
The MBS and Kodi guys collaborate these days and look like they are up to something grand about integrating via DLNA. This would allow both the standard physical remote as well as tablet solutions. Take a peak at http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=216086 for more.
