Jaster91 7 Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Hi there, It's since a while i've been using MB Great job....I'm spreading "the verb" it to everyone I know Actually I'm using both MBC on WMC and the WIN8.1 app My question is why with MBC on WMC I can directly play DVD Rips but in WIn8.1 app It seems that they can only e playd as "transcoded"? There's any way to play them directly by the App? especially if it's running on the local network an the main pc which is plugged with storage It will be good to avoid any quality loss during playback. thanks in advance for support Regards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ebr 14930 Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 The reason is because WMC knows how to play back DVD rips but Windows in general does not. Plus the 8.1 app is a Store app intended for tablets and it is subject to certain restrictions imposed on such apps. In general DVDs rips are a thing of the past.
