Auto-Organize: Sort Episodes into ONE folder not Season X Subfolders

I love the idea of having my episodes automatically sorted.

However (as discussed in another thread) I have my file structure set up, so that all episodes of one show are in just one folder, not subfolders for each season.

It seems as if auto-organize can only sort to "Season X" subfolders. It would be great if the episodes could just be sorted to one folder.

  • Solution

it should already do this if you have existing episodes that are already in the series folder.

Hi, what is your question exactly?

My video structure is exactly like the way it was described. I dump all episodes inside the TV show folder without sorting them into season folders. Auto Organize requires a folder name structure for season. I'd prefer to not create folders for each season and get the plug-in to just move the files to the show folder.

There's a comment marked as the solution, which I don't get.

the plugin simply can't be configured to not create folders

the server just ignores the setting, without any notification, feedback or documentation for the user, if the current existing folder structure is without subfolders and continues that structure

so you need an existing structure, with at least one existing episode to get what u want

perfectly logic for any "auto organize" functionality

It has finally happened like so.
