Version 3.0.5490.2

1.78 roku

i presume this problem is related to avidemux..as that was the significant factor but have not yet tried to reproduce.

What i have seen before is mb3 getting confused after changing existing content.

history

played tv episode -:sound out of sync

used avidemux to sync audio 200ms (copy streams)...

overwrote poor sync file with good sync file

playing tv episode on webclient or roku..immediately bugs out...playback fine from explorer using mpchc or wmp.

refreshed episode in web client - playback continues to bug out

copied good sync file to a mixed content folder and rescanned library.

playing good sync file from mixed content folder is fine

...so some sort of hiccup in the file scanning engine for existing content which has been modified  i thought...

2nd attempt to play good sync file from mixed content folder....bugs out and continues to bug out..

.....so something else/in addition is going on...is the avidemux operation corrupting the file from mb3 pov even though mpchc is fine...but then why did the avidemux modified file play first time in new location.

logs from trying to play the file on roku

transcode log..from i think the first working time in the mixed content folder...

subsequent playback requests are not creating more transcode log files..

starting to doubt myself now.....

I resynced the original file using MP4v2 muxer rather than MP4 muxer, and im having no such problems....

maybe i misrecollected the symptoms/history and its just the avidemux MP4 muxer is not compatable with MB3..or now im not even sure i didnt use the avi  muxer default.....how embarassing...ill get my facts straight next time..

edit..

doesnt seem to be anything wrong with either mp4 or mp4v2 muxer...everthing seems fine...and mb3 seems robust in handling me replacing exisitng files....false alarm i guess.
