ginjaninja 539
Has anyone got these working under mb3 dlna.. I get format not supported...the solution on other dlna servers was to ensure flacs get presented as type audio/x-flac...same as mkvs need to be presented as video/x-mkv..which are working untranscoded. ginjaninja 539
Woohoo My First success with MB3 DLNA Profile editing there is no direct playplay profile for flacs in the default samsung profile. I added this line and flacs work <DirectPlayProfile container="flac" audioCodec="flac" type="Audio" /> Gotchas for me was, I was editing the system profile and MB3 was overwriting my changes without me realising. Solution was, copy system (C:\Users\Nicholas Bird\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\config\dlna\system) samsung dlna profile (Samsung Smart TV.xml) to user folder...C:\Users\Nicholas Bird\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\config\dlna\user as MySamsung.xml...would be good if the UI helped the user do this, as starting from a base profile seems most normal... edit tag <Name>MySamsung</Name> to match other naming schemes It seems that user profiles take identification preference over system profiles which is good. and then edit the user xml to your preferences/device capability. I was restarting server between changes to xml not sure if that was necessary I think all samsung tvs from a 5 years back support flac direct play so potentially this should be added to system Samsung profile..anyone know how to go about suggesting that formally..which forum member is the dlna overseer? <DirectPlayProfile container="flac" audioCodec="flac" type="Audio" />
