Movie metadata reading file name instead of folder name

The problem began with the Stable Windows Server v3.0.5445.6 and still exists in the current beta version combined with the WMC plug-in (server/client combo)

 

Example included in log file:

 

\Sindbad The Fifth Voyage (2014)\sindbad-720p.mkv

 

In the past, metadata would be downloaded according to the folder name.  Now it seems it's downloaded according to the filename.  What needs to be done to return to the previous folder name recognition?

 

I've replaced server name and user name with "redacted" in the attached log.
