Strange thing I have a bunch of folder.xml files that showed up in my movie folders. They all came on Nov 26'th in the middle of the night.

I use the folder.xml for collections.

I have never set up any collection though, don't know how for that matter.

My understanding it is just suppose to represent folder level.  Folders without physical media.  It shouldn't appear in movie folders.

ie  Main Movie folder has a folder.xml but individual movie folders don't.

There have been some glitches recently and folder.xml's are in places they shouldn't be.

Yeah, I found quite a few in movie and TV folders tonite. Deleted them all with no adverse affects. After a number of Library scans they haven't been re-created either. So who knows?

EDIT: I have no idea what function they perform but I just checked and I don't have any in the main library folders either.? My collections are working fine without them also so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

From memory, mine had metadata details of the movie or show frpm that folder. I'm thinking that they are left overs from MB2.6

MBS is creating these files since I have never had MB2 on these systems.  If I find them within a media folders I just delete them.
