Scenarios Clients Win 8.1 laptop, Win 8.1 HTPC

 

   Screen Saver starts as designed after 30 sec, except on play view screen

   Saver exits on mouse movement, left click, right click and any keypress.

   Saver exits on MCE remote "OK" press

 

Mouse cursor does not disappear when saver is active. (This is also a problem also on play view, the controls fade out but the cursor remains, this is also the case on the release)

 

Stability.

The only case that caused a crash was... Laptop screen turns off, no sleep or hibernation for cpu. When mouse movement wakes up the screen the app crashes back to desktop. Tested inactivity and music playing.

General Observations.

Showing all backgrounds for an item is a nice touch  It was a little wonky on wireless connection initially labels were out of sync. Second time through perfect, maybe a caching thing?

Only glitch is label lengths some movie titles are to long and the truncation is odd, (centering and the truncating on each side as needed?)

 

If time to screen saver is not going to be configurable(ie: yes or no) I would suggest increasing the time to a minute or more
