MBS - Sort Music Albumy by Year

Hi all,

 

maybe I have just overseen it in the Server Options and in the Forum, but I nowhere found an option so sort Music Albums by release Date / year?

 

Would be nice, if you can implement it

I believe you choose your sort method on the clients.- anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

In the web app if you go to music and select albums or songs etc you can click on the three dot button at the top to open the menu and choose the sort method.

 

In MBC once in music you can go to the settings menu at the top and choose the sort method from there.

 

I don't think however it is available in MBT yet as music hasn't been fully integrated. The option is there but greyed out. It is available for movies etc.

I don't use any MB Client. I just use the Server Application and would like to sort Albums by year there ;-)

Especially I want a Album sort option when I click on an Artist and see the Albums of this artist.

Didn't find any sorting option for Albums there...?!

From the Artists view all albums are listed alphabetically only way to change that would be custom sort names.

 

From Albums view they can be sorted by Timeline or Release date.

XBMC/KODI 

And this one have a sorting option per Artist - Album and Year

 

But when I'm at work or somewhere else I just use the Browser with MediaBrowser Server.

And the alphabetically sorting of the Albums in the Artist view are confusing me, cause on any other Programm I use the sorting by Artist and Album Year
