Specials presence under season prevents watched/unwatched at season scope

I was unable to toggle watch/unwatched status at season level for all shows/seasons which had specials muddying the waters within the season.

Maybe an all episodes view is where specials should mix with the seasons (like tvdb).

  <EpisodeName>A Khan Christmas</EpisodeName>
  <EpisodeNumber>1</EpisodeNumber>
  <airsafter_season>2</airsafter_season>
  <SeasonNumber>0</SeasonNumber>

this special, did not interfere with toggling watched status at the season level of season 2

<EpisodeName>Pilot - The Unspeakable Play</EpisodeName>
  <EpisodeNumber>1</EpisodeNumber>
  <airsbefore_episode>1</airsbefore_episode>
  <airsbefore_season>1</airsbefore_season>
  <SeasonNumber>0</SeasonNumber>

this one did prevent toggling watched status at season level of season 1.

edit no its more complex than that

3.0.5445.5

with the first example, if the special is marked watched, then toggling watched status for season 2

toggles the watched status for the season 2 episodes as expected (leaving the special, which 'airs after season 2' unchanged)

if the special is marked unwatched , then the behaviour is a bit more odd.

if the specials and episodes of season 2 are marked unwatched, then toggling watched status of season 2, toggles episodes watched, special unchanged (assumed correct intended behaviour)

but toggling off again at season level has no effect.

if the special watched status is recently changed the behaviour is even more odd.

if all the episodes and specials of season 2 are marked watched...

then the immediate next press of the season watched/unwatched toggle does nothing

subsequent presses of season watch/unwatched toggle work as expected  (toggles the watched status for the season 2 episodes as expected (leaving the special, which 'airs after season 2' unchanged))

indeed the second example is also consistent with this behaviour..so odd it had confused my analysis.

in summary...

toggling the watch/unwatched status of a season with a special in it is sometimes screwy...

either when the specials are unwatched or if the watched status of the special (appearing within the season) has just been marked watched...

if there are more than one special episode appearing within season, then all specials need to be watched in order for the season watched/unwatched toggle behaviour NOT to be screwy...
