koi 3 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 With the latest dev build, the theme I'm using (Xenon) is randomly uninstalled. Installed is the log I think where this occurred. MBClassic-211120148b326de0ed3f4b918ef74f0a65c4ffb1.log

koi 3 Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Yes, Xenon was the selected theme. When it "disappears", it's gone from the installed plugins. I have to reinstall and restart for it to reappear. It happens intermittently, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I'll post another log after when it happens again so a comparison can be made, unless you have other suggestions. Thanks!
koi 3 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 OK, it happened again. I have three logs with a quit/restart after each incident: 1) Log from when Xenon mysteriously uninstalled and had Chocolate in it's place, quit and 2) Installed Xenon, quit and 3) Restarted MBC and reselected Xenon as theme. ebr 15545 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Xenon is undoubtedly one of these: 2014-11-24 23:16:34.1133,Error,,Failed to load plugin ( Exception. However, I suspect that is a false error and the dll is actually corrupted somehow. Do you have any sort of active AV system that might be trying to "clean" the dll when we load it?
koi 3 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 No, there's no AV program on that computer. Any way to remove the potentially corrupt DLL and replace it with a good copy? This only occurred after installation of the recent dev version of MBC.
ebr 15545 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 It doesn't have anything to do with the versions of MBC. I would remove all the dlls from your plugins folder on that machine and then re-install only the plug-ins you actually need.
koi 3 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 Will do and I'll report back if it does or doesn't resolve the issue. Thanks!
koi 3 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 So I deleted all the plugins in the folder, and reinstalled only Xenon. Interestingly, even after restarting, going into plugins shows a "Restart required" for Xenon.
buddyweiser 105 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 I have been seeing this as well with xenon but only on one pc. I have it installed and actively used on my regular htpc and not seeing this behavior there. I'll have to see if there is a difference in update levels on each machine. Sent using my G3
koi 3 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 buddyweiser. Thanks for the confirmation! I thought I might be the only one experiencing these strange occurrence. It's a bit annoying as it is my main HTPC.
