Hello everyone,
I'm new to the Emby world and may have missed an existing topic, plus English is not my native tongue.
I'm having trouble reading the Emby server pages when moving / scrolling through pages...
Under W10 and Firefox, my Asus 4K screen looks normal at the home page when I start Emby server, but as soon as I move to other menus I get text/menu overlays from previous screens or duplication of text if I move within the same Emby page.
I notice the same phenomenon when I move Firefox / Emby server to another screen (1929 x 1300) connected to my laptop computer via HDMI.
Have you ever observed such a phenomenon? What does it have to do with? Screen definition? Using Firefox? Other?
How can I solve the trouble(s) in order I can read Emby server pages / menus normally?
Thank you for your help.
All the best,
YvesBe

Hi, that’s really odd. What are the exact steps to reproduce?

Hi Luke,

Thanks for your rapid email.

I prepared a word file with my computer characteristics and several screens' captures.

Simply write your description as a post in the forum here, and drag and drop the images at the appropriate points.

I clearly do not understand what / which kind of file format you are expecting... either it is a word file and you get the screens' captures or a .txt file and you have no screens' captures.

Hoping you can read this .pdf file

You can copy and paste text without it being in a file...

How do you capture your screen images?

I use the "screen capture" tool of Windows 10.

Are you able to read my pdf file?

As far as I can see you've got two monitors with different screen sizes; a 4k one (which you're calling 2k for some reason) built in to the laptop, and a separate lower resolution one plugged in to its own port.

What happens if you disconnect the smaller display before running Emby on the bigger one?

What happens if you move Emby to the smaller screen and run it just there?

@LukeHere's a couple of images from the PDF showing the messed up overlapping; I'm wondering how Emby copes with a machine with two monitors of different sizes (I have access to one, so I can check, but not just now as it's my wife's).

same issues of image and text overlays with only one monitor. See below as an example the following screen's capture of the films' section (where only a part of recorded films show images) after having viewed the music section

What are the steps to reproduce? How do you get the problem to occur?

starting W10.

starting Emby media server on the 2nd monitor of the PC, looking at the media server: first page fine except no images of our French TV

image.png.7746b277075762cd28fd6f0a5e192834.png

moving to Musique: fine...

image.png.cb9f780e4a670e840def7898e0478e17.png

moving to films / movies (recorded TV on an external disk😞 please note that the titles of the second "films" directory (recorded TV located on the PC) are already overlaying...

back  to Musique: overlays...

Please note that the titles of the already overlaying titles and "images" of the second films directory (also recorded TV) are other ones (i.e. those of the second "films" directory" located on the PC, not on the external disk). I should maybe change the name of one of the directory...

the overlays are persisting in other EMBY media server pages such as:

Please also note that for an unknown reason the images of these films (recorded TV with the same software from ARTE, the German-French TV chain) are either visible or not...

Strange. What browser and browser version is that?

I am using the last version of Firefox...

Please notice I see these overlays on the média server, and, as far as I know, not on Emby theater...

Pretty sure this has come up in another topic and have seen it on random occasions (Edge single monitor) and refreshing the page resolves the issue.
