RLanger7228 54 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 I am new to Emby & am switching over from Synology Video Station (which will no longer be supported going forward). I like to create custom playlists (like Age 6-12, Film Noir, Pirates, Historical Fiction, etc). In Video Station, playlists were user specific (each user created their own & couldn't see others). To get around this, I created "custom genres", which could be searched or used in a filter by all users. Before I put in the time & effort to add these custom genres to a large film library in Emby, If I knew that the playlists are available to all, I could edit only the playlists.

RLanger7228 54 Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 Thank you. I just now upgraded to 4.8.10.0 - in a bit of a roundabout way, since it does not yet appear in the Synology Package Center. I could not find the first option: "Allow sharing personal content..." anywhere in settings. Where do I find it? However, (even without that setting) when I created a new playlist after upgrading, I found the "manage collaboration" option in the dropdown menu, as you had shown. 1
RLanger7228 54 Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 Nevermind. As I was creating a new user, I found the Allow Sharing option under the user definition. 2
