chief2810 2
It now seems Opensubtitles only allow a maximum of 5 subtitle downloads per day unless you are willing to pay (which I am as I use them a lot) However it seems you can't just upgrade from VIP to the next level up - you have to become a consumer - then purchase a product then somehow put the API key from Opensubtitles into Emby? I have no idea how to do this? Has anybody managed? Thanks
Happy2Play 8293
Hmm all I currently get from opensubtitles.com is Forbidden. org resolves but com does not. But I will assume the devs will have to update the plugin to allow usage of new system instead of just username/password. Luke 37091
HI, to download more you'll need OpenSubtitles VIP access. But stay tuned. We have a deal with OpenSubtitles that will benefit our Emby Premiere users, although we haven't rolled this out yet.
chief2810 2
I have VIP However they’ve recently changed that you can only do 5 downloads a day. Anymore than that and it won’t allow you to download. Are you confirming you’re working with them to remove the 5 download limit rate? thanks

I've just downloaded 10 consecutive subs with no issues nor can I find any reference on that restriction for anyone save unauthenticated users. embyserver.txt Edited April 15 by GrimReaper

GrimReaper 3303
I would presume that relates to consumers, not users. You don't need an API key to use Opensubtitles plugin with Emby. Quote Our API is using 2 authentication mechanisms. One with a static API key, related to an application or service, refered to as consumer in this documentation (HTTP header "Api-Key"), and one with a JWT related to a user (HTTP header "Authorization").
