SamES 891
Is there anything similar about the ones that don't play compared to the ones that do? For example: 1080 vs 4k Higher bitrate vs lower bitrate Specific audio or subtitle tracks Playing with or without subtitles activated DirectPlay vs transcoding Are there any movies that play successfully that aren't DirectPlaying? You can test this by finding a movie that does play, then during playback drop the quality settings in the menu until it starts to transcode. Once that occurs, confirm that you can still playback successfully. You will need to manually change the setting back to its original setting (auto?) once you have completed this test. Yes several work, both transcoding and direct play. Subtitles are off by default I will look at bit rate. The issues are usually hdr10 now that think of it. Shouldn't transcoding correct that? SamES 891
Thanks. Is the transcode log in your first post an example of one that does or doesn't play. It is not HDR. What happens if you turn off hardware acceleration for transcoding? It depends on your server performance and whether it can do it in software but I'm wondering if it is an issue with hardware transcoding

Happy2Play 8296
34 minutes ago, sftech13 said: This was with no transcoding also subtitles off But just because subtitles are off does not mean they are not delivered in the hls stream per what I posted above. ^^^Also subs where sent with the transcode mentioned above also. But I am just guessing as subtitles recently have become an issue depending on their delivery method. I guess since you have the diagnostic plugin you could test enabling/checking this option. SamES 891
You need to check/change it on the device during playback as each device has its own settings. During playback on the TV, open the On Screen Display and select the 'cog' button, then select playback Quality.

sftech13 7
Sorry to respond late. So this morning on my pc I tried the same movie as I'm remote today. I can not get it to play in browser. I have done the following in-between plays: Subtitles - default and off Disable HLS in plugin Play with cog wheel during playback The user have transcoding allowed All done around 750AM - 755AM I did see this under stats for nerd Also the movie stats: I also reviewed he logs and I don't know much about transcoding so I will ask my questions, sorry if they are nebbish.
