If I jump to 2min in it plays or anything past the intro. With or without subs it plays. Just the intro part, which is weird. I even tried another copy of the film. It does work on Android app though. Edited April 16 by sftech13

sftech13 6
Just now, Happy2Play said: So you are saying if you disable "Cinema Intros" completely you have no playback issues? My apologies, not cinema intros, just the intro at the start of the movie. Like where is shows the production company.
Happy2Play 8289
Okay just the intro of any given movie/media not actual intro files.
sftech13 6
So here is another log from this weekend on another movie that wouldn't play. Happy2Play 8289
Devs will have to confirm but still seems subtitle related. You have a file with 42 subtitles and 6 of those subs are sent hls to the stream. Do you any files with no subtitles to test with? I'm going to try another file from a different source and see what happens. The same source same HDR 10 4K video stream works on several other medias with subtitles. Maybe this is a bad copy or two. Solution sftech13 6 Posted April 17 Author Solution Share Posted April 17 So what are the odds that 2 different medias would cause this issue. I grabbed another copy from a different release groups and it plays fine, transcoding 4k HDR10 to 1080P 4mb with 12 subs. I want to thank @SamES@Happy2Playand @Lukefor your time and help with troubleshooting.

difference between the 2 files. 1st file works, 2nd doesn't. Here are the main differences between the two files: **1. File Size and Bit Rate:** - The first file is 33.1 GiB in size with an overall bit rate of 36.4 Mb/s. - The second file is 13.9 GiB in size with an overall bit rate of 15.2 Mb/s. **2. Video Format and Resolution:** - Both files use HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) for the video format. - The first file has a resolution of 3840x1608 pixels and a frame rate of 23.976 FPS. - The second file has a resolution of 3840x1600 pixels and the same frame rate of 23.976 FPS. **3. Audio Format:** - The first file uses TrueHD with Dolby Atmos and has a bit rate of 3,263 kb/s, 8 channels, and lossless compression. - The second file uses Enhanced AC-3 with Joint Object Coding (Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos) and has a bit rate of 768 kb/s, 6 channels, and lossy compression. **4. Subtitles and Text Streams:** - Both files include English subtitles, but the number of subtitle and text streams differs slightly. - The first file contains multiple text and subtitle tracks in different languages, including UTF-8 and PGS formats. - The second file contains English, Spanish, and Latin American text streams, and all are in UTF-8 format. **5. Chapter Points:** - Both files have chapter points, but the time intervals for each chapter are different between the two files. These are the main differences between the two files in terms of size, video and audio format, subtitles, and chapter points.
Happy2Play 8289
A dev or file junky will probably be able to explain more as it is a format difference. More toward the HDR format. working Format profile : Main 10@L5.1@High HDR format : SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible Not working Format profile : Main 10@L5@Main HDR format : SMPTE ST 2094 App 4, Version 1, HDR10+ Profile B compatible Edited April 17 by Happy2Play
FrostByte 5051
The second file is simply HEVC level 5 HDR10+ and is typical of streaming media from Amazon, Paramount+, etc which stream HDR10+. HEVC level 5.1 HDR10+ is what you would find on UHD for movies like Shaun of the dead. Either way, even a TV which doesn't support HDR10+ will still play it because it's just metadata and something like a LG will just ignore the extra metadata. Maybe the file which isn't working just has a bad header, or something. Try remuxing to see if that works. Otherwise maybe upload a small sample which isn't working.
