wmichael3 7 Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 I have a program that shows up in the recording schedule but hasn't been recorded in the past couple of weeks, although it was in the past. Is there any log where I can find out why, assuming some sort of conflict? (There isn't any obvious conflict that I can see) The logs seem to be about what Emby does, not what it doesn't do. Thanks
Luke 39640 Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Hi there, please provide an example and the emby server log from when that example was expected to record: How to Report a Problem Thanks
wmichael3 7 Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 So, this has happened a few times, most recently this past Saturday, and I decided to look at the logs myself. What I found is that the program was indeed recorded, but the existence of the recording was not at all obvious in the user interface. I've attached a web browser screen shot that shows that the new recording was labeled as a "version" of an older recording. This might be unique to SNL, where NBC routinely runs a rerun of an old episode just prior to the new one, yet the metadata flags the rerun as a "new" episode. My series settings are set to "new" episodes only. In this specific case the old episode was what was indicated as the "new" recording, and you have to toggle the "version" to the actual new episode. The UI was similar in 3 versions of the app - the browser version, the Android TV version, and the Android version. At the top level of the UI the existence of the second version is not visible - you have to drill into the specific recording to see the option to toggle to the alternate version. So it appears that the new episode was not recorded. This problem might be very rare and specific to a few series, and I'll respond if I see it happen elsewhere. But at least I now know to look for it. Just passing it on FYI....
Carlo 4546 Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Timothée Chalamet is S50E12 Shane Gillis / Tate McRae is S50E14 https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/episodes If you want to fix this rename the episodes as shown on NBC as that is what are guide provider should be using as well. Just for kicks, have a look at the numbering on IMDB for SLN.
