Smitty018210 52
Ok, the title isn't 100% correct, but need to to put something. Here is what is happening. I like to edit or change (create custom) episode images for my Tv series. Often the ones uploaded to TVDB or TMDB are not to my liking. So I search the web or use screenshot program to capture an image from the episode that I like. The size the image with Photoshop and save to my PC. Normally as a JPG. I then I use the image up-loader in the Emby web browser to upload the new image. I just noticed today that for what ever reason emby creates two versions of this episode. (Not the files themselves in my media folders) They don't not show up with in the series or season are far as I can tell. (When viewing in the web browser or theater) The only place you can even tell that this happening is when you view either and actor or director information page and look at what projects they have been part of. As I said it dose not create new media files but dose create as second version of the episode with the new image. To test what might be going on I moved a Tv series (Star Trek TNG) to a temp folder and re-scanned my library I moved from D:Tv Shows to D:Temp Folder If you look at the images below you can see that the episodes have different paths now. But even after the move the duplicated episode still has the old path from before the move. Some extra info in case it matters: I have both the cache and metadata folder locations saved to custom paths. E:\Emby Server\New Folder Paths\Cache path E:\Emby Server\New Folder Paths\Metadata I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Why is this happening? Solution Luke 37095 Posted April 5 Solution Share Posted April 5 Hi, please try removing these plugins: Watch History 1.0.0.1 Then restart the server and see how things compare.
Smitty018210 52
That appears to have fixed the issues. So I just can't use the watch history plug in? Edited April 5 by Smitty018210
Luke 37095
It is known to create duplicates, so you have to take that information and decide if you want to use it or not.

Luke 37095
Hopefully when we have a smart views/playlists feature, the plugin developer will reinvent it based on that. Then there will be no issue of duplicates.
