Emby recorded show getting wrong series

I am using Emby to record TV from an HD Home Run. The issue I am having is that NCIS is being recorded but shows up in Emby as NCIS: Sydney.

Logs show the LiveTV seeing it correctly:

HI, it is probably due to the metadata fetch that occurs after the recording. Try using the Identify feature on the series in your library and see if that helps.

@JamesTX10I had the same problem with Family Feud (1999) being recorded as Family Feud (1976). The show is identified in the OTA guide (also via HDHR) simply as "Family Feud", and even if I identified the show post-recording it didn't help. What I ended up doing is setting up a daily scheduled task that will move any recordings from the incorrect folder into the correct folder and then delete the incorrect folder. Just my experience, maybe you'll have better luck.

Identify on the series caused it to create another NCIS entry. Live TV module looks to be correct when looking at upcoming recordings. Anything else I can look for or do?

@JamesTX10can you please temporarily enable debug server logging, then recreate the issue with a new recording, and then attach the complete emby server log file? Thanks.

Here is the debug log file.

It put the file in the 2nd NCIS Library entry that was created after I ran the Identify option back on the 8th.

The actual recorded file was still placed in the NCIS Sydney folder.

OK so the metadata is all correct but it's just in the wrong folder path?  Notice how it all says NCIS but the folder path is Sydney.

If this is true then I would just rename the series folder in the file system, then run a library scan to make the server aware of it. Then after that, I think the recordings will go to the right place.

There is already a folder path for NCIS as well as NCIS Sydney:

So it would seem the something is off with the metadata in deciding where it should be saved and then what show to display it under in the Library. How do I get rid of the duplicate entries for NCIS in the Library as well?

I would remove the sydney folder from your library like I suggested, or even all three if you want. Then do a new recording. I think it will be fine at that point. Then you can copy the episode files back in manually to their rightful place.

The next recording went into the correct folder in the file system and library. Not sure what caused it to go wrong and hope that does not happen again, but for now it is working.
