External Type-C Screen will not stay on, VLC keeps screen alive

Hi All,

 

as title says, the Android Emby client for me will not keep the external 2nd screen alive, even if I set the Android screen time out to 30 minutes!  This is really frustrating as I really like the idea of using Emby client to keep everything in sync whilst at work watching movies and updating when I get home to my wifi and server.

 

Phone Motorola Edge Pro (2023)

Android version 14

Emby client version (according to Android App Info is 3.3.7.7)

There are no logs in the Android/Data directory

The media is all downloaded via the Emby download options

 

 

I'm obviously not 100% sure this is an Emby issue however, VLC works fine when plugged in to my external USB-C screen and keeps the screen alive.

 

Any thoughts? Maybe a setting I've missed in Android or Emby?
