How does Emby handle an unmounted encrypted folder used for a library?

I know how to setup an encrypted folder, and once it's mounted it's pretty simple to point Emby at that folder. But assuming I don't have the DSM set to store the key and decrypt/mount the folder on boot. Emby will start up and see the library path isn't available. Then what does it do? Does it retain all the entries in the database and just mark those media as missing, until I either mount the folder or delete them from the lirbary?

HI, the answer is that it depends. If Emby gets an error from the file system when trying to get a file list, then it won't remove them from the database.

But if it gets an empty list and no error, then to Emby it will look like an empty directory and then it will remove content from the database.
