Do I need to regen thumbs if I only removed subs from my mkv file?

Some movies I have wind up containing about a dozen or so subtitle languages. I like to clean up these periodically (well, the ones I actually want to watch again) so that it's just left with English subs in the mkv. My question is: if all I do is use MKVToolNix to remux the source mkv file so that the exported mkv file simply has the unwanted subtitles removed, do I need to delete my .bif file and have Emby regenerate it, or is that just a waste? I presume there is no need as the actual video/audio aren't being touched but just wanted to double check. Thanks!

No you don't need to regenerate the BIF.
