iptv epg question

Hi all,

I'm finally getting around to figuring out iptv again, and I'm using a free trial sub from an iptv provider, they gave me an m3u file, and almost all of the channels seem to be working and stable (probably not after I pay for it lol) but I just realized this particular iptv provider does NOT provide an epg file.

That makes me wonder why?  I'm new to iptv, so I must be missing something.  Do they expect their tens of thousands of customers to build their own?  I actually like this provider, it's the first stable one i've used, but no guide?  I don't understand why anyone would ever use such a thing.

I'd appreciate some help understanding this...

Thanks

Hi, every provider is different. Some provide an epg, some don't. It's just the nature of it.
