I'm no longer able to transcode after upgrading to 4.8.30. All clients report "No compatible Stream" when transcoding is necessary. Only directstream is ok.

I think there is something wrong with ffmpeg. Hardware transcoding is disable.

Everything was fine with emby 4.7.x and previous versions.

What is your system architecture?

Is Ubuntu fully updated (as in 16.04.7), it should come with glibc 2.28 which is the minimum glibc version we require.

Edit: Scratch that, I was thinking of 18.04. 16.04 is way too old and is EOL since 2021, it doesn't meet the glibc 2.28 requirement.

Now that you mention it, there was a warning about glibc during upgrade.

I'll go for a fresh OS install.

Thanks

Just install a new VM with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and import /var/lib/emby. It works like a charm, no more issue with ffmpeg.

Thanks for your help.
