Bingie 99
Hi all, I tried TrueNAS SCALE when it first came out two years ago, but they were still working out some kinks in the armor, so I went with windoze 10 as host OS. I just upgraded my NAS hardware (new cpu and nvme) but windoze 11 is having some issues, so I'm ready to try a free linux NAS OS again. How is TrueNAS SCALE today? Anyone running the "Emby for TrueNAS SCALE" app on it? Any issues? I have the Intel® Core™ i7-11700 (with integrated GPU), want to make sure Emby on TNS can use it to transcode, that's a must. Bingie 99
I do have an available pcie slot, so I can purchase a separate gpu card if I have to, if it can be safely passed thru to the emby app. I'd prefer to use the integrated gpu if it works though. Q-Droid 653
For what truenas is/does and what you might want it for I say try OMV or stick to a standard distro unless you really really want dashboards and graphs and gizmos.
Bingie 99
Thanks, yeah I'm looking at OMV again right now. Probably a better fit. Anyone running Emby on OMV these days? Any big issues? Any gpu for transcoding issues?
