Nope, when subs are present, transcoding is needed and it's still not working correctly on LG TVs. It just hangs, even on newer LG TVs Oh well. In theory subs should still work with it disabled (by using transcoding), but anyway... Once enabled, subs are working on the LG app. You can close it.
