STRM URL visibility issue

The url that contains private account info (userid/password) is showing up in Emby under media info.

Expected behavior is the path\filename of the .strm file and not the data within the file.

Pretty sure those are only visible to server admins. Check with a non-privileged user

The link shows the contents of the strm file, not the path to the strm file .. ;)

So if your strm file points to a local unc share name - that's what it shows, if it contains a URL - then it will show that instead.

It's admins only - so I personally do not see any issues here.

If your url is showing userid/password in plain text even if the url itself is https - then that really is not the fault of emby !

If its just admin's that can see it then that should be fine.
