NFO Metadata 1.0.80.0, NFOs stored in media folders, NFO Reader and NFO Writer ticked, Cache images ticked on library config. Library Paths defined as UNCs. Win 10.

Running Emby from the user session. The user is an admin and the user has write access to share and ntfs permissions.

I noticed some incorrect genre content in an artist.nfo, so i deleted the artist.nfo and refreshed metadata (replace all) on the Albumartist.

i expected the artist.nfo to be rewritten (with the correct genre information). indeed I cant get any NFOs to write across any of libraries.

no evidence of nfo writing in debug log

This may not be a recent issue..no idea when it started (i dont ever interfere with the nfos) Any suggestions as to how i investigate / force emby to write an artist nfo.

(ive also tested with show, season and episode nfos on a separate library and nothing doing)

edit fresh portable build with local library e:\music with one artist behaves same (no nfos written, nothing in log about nfo writing)....maybe somethings changed about nfo reading and writing

To get nfo files for albums and artists, you'll also need to configure the music folder structure option at the top of the library settings dialog.

will try again
