Hello,

i am having issues updating my existing install on CentOS 7 from 4.7.14.0 to 4.8.1.0.

i can remove and reinstall 4.7.14.0 fine with no issues i just can upgrade i have also tried to install 4.8.0.80 with the same result.

i have attempted to remove and reinstall the software along with an in place upgrade and Both result in the following dependency errors.

I have up the server in the same machine for several years and never ran into this before.

Any help would be appreciated

Below is a Printout of the install error

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem

Didn't realize centos 7 was on such an old glibc version. Since it's getting EOLed in a few months I'm not sure it's worth it to start packing glibc in our RPM packages. Are you able to switch to our docker image? That one comes with its own glibc and will run about anywhere docker can run. I can assist you during the transition.
A couple useful links:

Thank you for the reply.

i thought it might have been something like that i was hoping to get few more months out of the server before migrating to a new CentOS stream however i guess ill just have to do it sooner rather then later.  I am not a big fan of dockers as i have a slightly complicated setup already but thank you for the information.
