mannyrothman 10 Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 My server, named "Manny's Emby Server" for some reason display "Manny's Media Server Server" as the page name when browsing Emby via a browser. How can I change this to match my actual server's name?
Luke 40096 Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 HI, we remove Emby from it and substitute that with Media Server, because otherwise Chrome might think you're trying to impersonate Emby. Related info is here: What you could do is try renaming it to Manny's Media Server. Hopefully as time goes on we won't have to do this anymore.

But then wouldn't it be "Manny's Media Server Server" ?

Understood. Kinda silly that it's such a primitive find-and-replace function. I'm sure many people have "Emby Server" in their server name and wouldn't want it to say "Server Server" in their browser. 1
Luke 40096 Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 We'll look at improving it. Thanks for the feedback. 1 1
brietman 1 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Maybe you should clarify this by the field where you can change your server name. I was looking everywhere, why my header won't change en states: Media ServerServer . When I searched for 'emby servername won't change header webpage' I came across this topic. When you rename to anything with Emby, the head will revert back instantaneously. Glad it the solution was this simple. 1
