utiac 4
Seems to me this menu didn't exist before the Emby-4.8.1 update and I'd rather not see it. To me, it's duplication, takes screen real estate and at least three (maybe four) mouse clicks to make it go away. It only appears for me when accessing Emby Server via a web browser or when using Emby Theatre. Is there a simple way to disable it that I'm missing. Screen shot below. Running Emby server on Debian linux. We don't see this extra menu when accessing Emby via the Roku app.
Solution Happy2Play 8304 Posted February 19 Solution Share Posted February 19 Toggle the collapse button at the top right, will have to do it a couple time to go back to closed. But yes this is the new behavior for first login and if you clear cache/cookies.
utiac 4
Thanks for that. At least I can get rid of it with a single click now. I _always_ clear my browser cache on closing so apparently I'm stuck with a non-configurable menu. Really, I think there should be an option to display it or not. Maybe others have a use for it, I don't see it as an improvement. Please don't introduce it to the Roku version which is how most of our family enters Emby. I just ocassionally access via a browser. Appreciate your speedy reply. Edited February 19 by utiac addition
Happy2Play 8304
Or the friendly file hack discussed here. But editing files are required with every update.
