HunterStreet 1
I have tried installing Emby on my Windows machine. I can go through the installation process and it will run Emby, but Emby doesn't show up in my apps. Anytime I restart the computer, the app is missing and the only fix I have found is to reinstall Emby. I'm assuming there's some issue with getting Emby to fully install on this PC? Luke 37118
Hi there, can you tell us what exactly you installed from where? From the windows store, from our website? Emby Server or Emby Client? Thanks.
HunterStreet 1
It was just the normal Windows install from Emby’s website. Emby server.
kjhedges 54
Did you download from here https://emby.media/windows-server.html
darkassassin07 429
Once installed, if you can't find the normal shortcut, you should be able to find the installed app, including its .exe in: C:/users/<your username>/AppData/roaming/emby-server/system Note: the AppData folder is usually hidden. You can view it by either enabling 'show hidden folders' in Windows explorer (the file browser), or by pressing start, typing 'run', press enter, then entering '%appdata%' into that run dialog. Solution HunterStreet 1 Posted February 21 Author Solution Share Posted February 21 I figured it out. I had a feeling it was an admin issue and it was. It was making me install as an admin, but it would only install Emby on the admin account and not the user account. Just had to move the files. Thanks everyone for the help.
