DonMacaroni 27
Hi, Looks like something has changed, in 4.8.0.0. After update, when new music is added, embedded Album Art is no longer being extracted from the files. Cover art itself is definitely present, so not quite sure, why it no longer works. embyserver.txt Edited February 11 by DonMacaroni Adding more images

DonMacaroni 27
Hi, @Luke Have not changed it since I initially set up Emby, multiple versions ago. Thing is, it always worked that way so far, but now even Song Images do not show up, for those. Meanwhile I updated to 4.8.1.0 and requested metadata refresh on those, nothing changed. Luke 37251
If you play the tracks, does the now playing bar at the bottom have an image?
DonMacaroni 27
Nope, it does not show any image for those either. Edited February 11 by DonMacaroni
Luke 37251
OK try refreshing the metadata on the tracks and see if that helps.
DonMacaroni 27
Did not make any difference. What did make a difference was extracting that art from the files, opening in MacOS preview app and re-exporting as JPG and re-tagging those files. I am not quite sure, why included JPG's did not work though. While examining the Tags, everything seemed to be correct.
Luke 37251
OK, please attach the emby server log from when you tried to do that. Thanks.
DonMacaroni 27
Should be this one, but I am not entirely sure: embyserver-63843292800.txt
Luke 37251
So you're saying you corrected this by retagging the files?
DonMacaroni 27
Not only re-tagging, I had to export JPG, open it in Mac preview, re-save and re-tag with altered image.
DonMacaroni 27
Well, looks like issue re-appeared with Downloaded items (IOS, IpadOS) and Android TV client. Track art is fine, but Album art is sporadically missing. Re-tagging/re-scanning, did not help in this case... DonMacaroni 27
OK, looks like TV issue got resolved by updating App (looks like I used ancient version, installed manually, from 2022 when I started to use Emby). I don't even remember why I installed it manually, discovered it by accident as I stumbled upon an APK file on NAS, in "TV device account" home folder. Installed newer one from Play store and all is fine, but IOS and iPadOS clients still do it for all downloaded media. Album art is only shown in "Song view" not in "Album view". The Android TV app I have, doesn't show cover art (folder.jpg) from parent folder, if it doesn't exist in the sub-folder. All other Emby apps do. Here is an example using an Audiobook library type: Audiobooks\Comedy\Dad's Army > Series 1 > S01E01 Dad's Army.m4b In this example, Dad's Army folder has a folder.jpg for main show's cover art. Series 1 does not have folder.jpg for Series 1 (by mistake), but each of the tracks has embedded folder.jpg for cover art. In all Emby apps except Android TV app, if the Series 1 had no cover art assigned, Emby would use the folder.jpg from parent folder "Dad's Army". Not an issue for me, as I just correct the sub-folder and put the missing folder.jpg (i.e. it actually helped me identify one or two non-standard folders), but others may like it defaulting to the show's parent folder cover art. Music and music videos library types are probably the same. Edited May 11 by unisoft
DonMacaroni 27
All my Album Art is embedded into id3v2.4 tags. After App update, my TV displays everything just fine, IOS app on the other hand has issue with displaying Album cover on downloaded Albums, track covers are fine.
