Hi,

Looks like something has changed, in 4.8.0.0.
After update, when new music is added, embedded Album Art is no longer being extracted from the files.
Cover art itself is definitely present, so not quite sure, why it no longer works.

Hi there, what image fetchers are enabled on the library?

Hi, @Luke

Have not changed it since I initially set up Emby, multiple versions ago.
Thing is, it always worked that way so far, but now even Song Images do not show up, for those.
Meanwhile I updated to 4.8.1.0 and requested metadata refresh on those, nothing changed.

If you play the tracks, does the now playing bar at the bottom have an image?

Nope, it does not show any image for those either.

OK try refreshing the metadata on the tracks and see if that helps.

Did not make any difference.
What did make a difference was extracting that art from the files, opening in MacOS preview app and re-exporting as JPG and re-tagging those files.
I am not quite sure, why included JPG's did not work though.
While examining the Tags, everything seemed to be correct.

OK, please attach the emby server log from when you tried to do that. Thanks.

So you're saying you corrected this by retagging the files?

Not only re-tagging, I had to export JPG, open it in Mac preview, re-save and re-tag with altered image.

  • Thanks 1
